Putting others in the shade.

Lamb Island's streets are lined with trees, most of them eucalypts (in fact, in this picture you can see the remaining stump of one that recently had to be removed because it was posing a threat to the adjacent house). Personally, I've always particularly liked the way this big old poinciana tree in our front garden (so big that you can see only the lower part of its canopy in the picture) spreads out over the road and throws its shade right across it.
