Various parts of Moreton Bay, including most of the south-eastern side of Lamb Island, are now marine national parks in which fishing is prohibited (except from the shore itself). And that's good news for aquatic critters, especially turtles. Around Lamb Island, we often see their heads pop up for a quick gulp of air, and considering the fact that they were once hunted almost to extinction at a local level, it's always a delight to catch that brief glimpse of them.
