Beside our courtyard wall, we have a kinda dumb little pseudo-Japanese fountain that’s really just a terracotta pot fed by a little pump. And because this is Lamb Island, we also have lots of curlews. Every once-in-a-so-often, they visit the fountain to bathe, which they do spectacularly clumsily because the pot’s not really big enough for them. Above is a shot taken in low light yesterday evening.
