The above image is of ‘Notorious’, a faithful* recreation of a fifteenth century caravel, built over a period of ten years by a guy named Graeme Wylie and launched in 2011 at Victoria’s Port Fairy. The shot was taken early-ish this morning from our deck, and I’m inclined to think that the dullness of the day at that time gave the already dark-timbered vessel some extra time-warpish moodiness. But below is another shot of it that I found on the internet, and which shows it in better detail.
*Well, ‘faithful’ except for the fact that it was moving, so there’s an engine tucked away somewhere.
