Just quietly, there was a lot of fun going around.

While I was grumping about jet skis last Sunday, competitors from our islands and beyond were quietly enjoying the eighth annual Tingira Boat Club ‘Macleay Classic’ – paddling canoes, kayaks, outriggers, and even dragon boats around neighbouring Macleay Island. No engine noise, although I’m told that towards the end of their circumnavigations some of the competitors’ puffing and grunting got kinda loud.
