This is Lamb Island’s ambulance at the jetty, waiting to be put back into its nearby shed after delivering someone to the islands’ ambulance boat. Of course, it could just be a case of someone with a minor ailment that meant he or she was unable to travel to hospital by waterbus, and let’s hope it was in fact something as relatively simple as that. You can read about how our ambulance service works, albeit with a picture of an ambulance boat that’s since been replaced by a newer one, here.
