We islanders often joke about how our waterbuses, in spite of their contemporary design and comfort, sometimes resemble Third World trains, as passengers load-on stuff they’re bringing home from the mainland (including, on one trip I made, the proverbial kitchen sink). And pets get to travel too, although in the past few years it’s been mandatory for dogs to wear muzzles for the trip. The people above with their feathered friend were probably travelling on Seniors’ concessions, which I figure lets me get away with the corny post title. Or maybe not.
