A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only limited material on a small island, some posts are being recycled/updated from earlier.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

Saturday night was bath night.

Beside our courtyard wall, we have a kinda dumb little pseudo-Japanese fountain that’s really just a terracotta pot fed by a little pump. And because this is Lamb Island, we also have lots of curlews. Every once-in-a-so-often, they visit the fountain to bathe, which they do spectacularly clumsily because the pot’s not really big enough for them. Above is a shot taken in low light yesterday evening.

(And yes, that’s a pair of home-made sunglasses on the buddha. And yes, the pavers need sweeping.)
