At least they go by really fast.

Every not-so-often (like this morning) our usual island peace and quiet is compromised by rev-head aquatic bikers on jet skis roaring their way past, going from somewhere to somewhere else as fast as they can go, and for no other reason than going as fast as they can go. Mind you, the good part about that is that they’re gone in just a couple of minutes, then our tranquility returns. And okay, so it’s everyone’s bay, and I guess they’ve got as much right to be out on it as anyone else, but given that they can’t possibly appreciate the natural environment at their speed and decibel-levels, it all seems a bit soul-less to me.

An hour after I posted the above, and as if to illustrate the point I was making, these kayakers came by.
