A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only a limited amount of material on a small island, we’re now recycling selected earlier posts.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

No, this isn’t Moreton Bay. Or anywhere near Lamb Island.

Unlike similar-ish pictures occasionally featured on this blog, this wasn’t taken from our deck – although that word ‘deck’ is still relevant, given that it was obviously taken from another boat. This particular shot shows the yacht ‘Acrux near Malekula Island in Vanuatu, and on board was a young Lamb Island couple who’ve just arrived back after spending several years ‘living free on the sea’ – specifically the South Pacific via New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. It’s good to see they’re back home safely. You can check out (and if you’re like me, envy) their travels on their Facebook page here.
