Up there in the sky: Are they birds? Are they planes?

No, they’re dragonflies. For the last few days, maybe twenty or more of them have been hovering in the same place just above our courtyard like little helicopters – and for all I know, possibly humming ‘The Ride Of The Valkyries’ at a pitch too high for the human ear to hear. Below, an extreme zoom:

And up close, they look more like WWI biplanes. Maybe humming ‘Mademoiselle From Armentières’?
