A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only a limited amount of material on a small island, we’re now recycling selected earlier posts.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

The calm after the storm we didn’t get.

There we were, late Saturday afternoon, copping dire warnings about a massive storm heading our way complete with damaging winds and hail, and watching its approach via the Bureau of Meteorology website. Yike. Okay, so we put the directors chairs inside, wound down the umbrella over the table in the courtyard, and listened to the oncoming thunder as everything got dark enough to justify pouring a couple of glasses of cheap white wine. Except the storm went around Lamb Island. We didn’t even get any rain. But the sunset hitting the big eucalypt beyond our courtyard wall was worth the stress.
