A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only a limited amount of material on a small island, we’re now recycling selected earlier posts.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

A Sunday afternoon on the island of Lamb.

Okay, so maybe the above picture of a little waterside park area on Lamb Island isn’t quite up to the artistic originality of Georges Seurat’s ‘Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte’ (which, for those of you not as Frenchly-fluent as I’m pretending to be, translates as ‘A Sunday afternoon on the island of la Grand Jatte’). But however you say it, both pictures do share certain key elements like, well, um, grass and water and boats and an island location. And sure, there may be fewer people in my Sunday arvo version than in M’sieur Seurat’s, but à mon avis (or, for those of you not using Google Translate, ‘in my opinion’), that’s one of the advantages of living on Lamb Island in the first place.
