A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only limited material on a small island, some posts are being recycled/updated from earlier.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

What a wonderful bird is the pelican...

One of the bonus extras of living on Moreton Bay is the local pelicans. But it’s not easy to get a good  photograph of them – they’re usually fishing too far offshore; or gliding past, mere inches above the water, before this blogger can get his camera organised; or effortlessly riding the breeze way up above him. Not so with these accommodating guys just off the beach at Karragarra Island. That’s Lamb Island in the background.
