A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only limited material on a small island, some posts are being recycled/updated from earlier.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

Not your average suburban scene.

This is one of my favourite streetscapes on Lamb Island – the junction where a short keyhole-type ‘court’ meets one of the island’s through-streets. While it may not look like it, there are houses just outside the framing of both sides of the cropped image (and also beyond the trees in the middle of the picture). Which to me just goes to show how far we Lamb Islanders are from the uniformity of mainland suburbia. (Yet actually, as the crow flies, only around six kilometres.)
