Home from the bay.

Our only problem with living among trees is that it’s hard to get a clear shot of our house, especially when you can’t step back from it without falling off the deck. But here’s what it looks like from out on the bay. It might seem to be sitting there on its own, but there are two neighbouring houses behind the trees on the right, and someone’s about to build near the left-hand edge of this shot.

Meanwhile, the front of our property opens onto what’s essentially a regular neighbourhood:
