A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only limited material on a small island, some posts are being recycled/updated from earlier.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

Before and after:

North Stradbroke Island, seen here beyond Russell Island, and viewed from Lamb Island, spent Christmas and New Year alight from a bushfire started by a lightning strike. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured, nor property lost, but it was touch-and-go there for a while, with strong winds not doing the firefighters any favours before heavy rain helped calm things down.

Below, a closer view. And while it looks kinda ugly at the moment, there are actually green shoots in there already, and it all should be back to normal in a few months.
