A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only a limited amount of material on a small island, we’re now recycling selected earlier posts.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

Yet another sign of bureaucratic overkill.
There’s a certain sense of personal responsibility involved in choosing to live on an island, even one as close to everything as ours is. (Bear with me and I’ll get to the point of this post.) This little piece of roadway services a whole three properties, and the shot was taken from where it joins another road that might see half-a-dozen cars on a really busy day. But the authorities seem to believe it needs the sign you can see the back of here, warning motorists to ‘GIVE WAY’.
