A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only a limited amount of material on a small island, we’re now recycling selected earlier posts.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

Putting others in the shade.
Lamb Island's streets are lined with trees, most of them eucalypts (in fact, in this picture you can see the remaining stump of one that recently had to be removed because it was posing a threat to the adjacent house). Personally, I've always particularly liked the way this big old poinciana tree in our front garden (so big that you can see only the lower part of its canopy in the picture) spreads out over the road and throws its shade right across it.
