A blog about Lamb Island in Moreton Bay, Queensland – a unique little paradise under forty kilometres as the seagull flies from Brisbane CBD.
Because of restraints on time, and let’s face it, only limited material on a small island, some posts are being recycled/updated from earlier.
There’s not a comment facility, but if you have a question, you can use the email gizmo near the bottom of the right-hand column.

The paradise property paradox: More is less.

There's a paradox about Lamb Island property values. Because of the fact that relatively few people know about the place, there's not a huge demand for houses, which means that property prices are lower here than they would be elsewhere. In other words, the very thing that makes Lamb Island such a perfect little paradise also makes it a very affordable paradise. For example, the home above is currently on sale for just $375,000, yet anywhere else it would cost a whole lot more.
